I haven't updated my website in so long that I thought I might post a bunch of pictures and some videos from my last two years at college I found digging through my hard drive. I don't have time to go into every detail about what happened, and that would probably be boring anyway, so I figured I'd just explain the pictures I found. I am intentionally visibly genderqueer and crossdressed a lot at Oberlin and when I was living in Chicago, Vermont, and California. I have a lot of different looks in these photos because of my constant changes in life, in style and in gender.

In most of the photos/videos I'm at least partly feminine, because I want to show that it is possible to live an openly genderqueer lifestyle. These are random photos from the past two years that I've had access to a digital camera and camcorder, most of which show some aspect of my life or gender. A lot of my experiences, friends, and family have been left out.

Videos

These are short real media clips from random videos I have.

Girly - Claire and I like taking a lot of scrap footage for its fine art potential. This is some of that. Claire picked out my wardrobe and basically directed these shots--her goal was to try to capture my girly side. I tried to act feminine but also as myself. This is a silent collection of some of the shots she took. (1.8MB / 1:40)
Birthday Bar - A short segment from when my friends and I went out for my 21st birthday in Berkeley. (198K / :11)
Birthday Bar 2 - Another one from that same night of Claire and I. (210k / :9)
Walking - Nothing special here. A fuzzy video of us walking and being silly in our drunken stupor that same night. Just to show that you can generally walk in Berkeley visibly genderqueer without any problem if you're with your friends. (301K / :17)
A Quiet Place - I've got so many photos of the offbeats that I thought I'd show what we sound like too--a short clip. I dressed femme a lot while performing with the offbeats, but singing bass definitely shatters any gender illusions. (313K / :15)
Claire's Beach Party - We had a "beach party" for Claire for her birthday out in Oakland in January '00, and it was very silly. Here's a clip of us in our makeshift "ocean."
